Critical Stages / Scènes critiques is a peer review

Publication Schedule: Biannual, April and October

Deadlines for submissions: January 15^th and July 15th

Length: 100–130 pages

Proposed sections for each issue, among other possibilities:

·        Essays: theoretical, historical

·        Interdisciplinary approaches

·        Reviews of significant theatre productions and festivals

·        Profiles: national critics, winners of Thalia Prize

·        Reviews of books and websites

·        Criticism Workshops: debates on critical methodologies

·        Forums on selected topics

·        Forum or regular feature for theatre practitioners to write on theatre criticism: expectations, challenges, suggestions

·        Possible coordination of the various sections for special issues: e.g. profiling an artist, including interview, essays and analyses.

·        Photoshop: photos of set-designs or costume designs of less known artists (with a short résumé and information about the performance)

·        Surprise Bonus Feature

Languages: English and French.  Articles in English will include an abstract in French; articles in French will include an abstract in English.

The Editorial will be in both English and French.

Other elements that are mandatory: photos or other types of illustration, fully identified and referenced to the photographic credits (See Submission Guidelines)

Editorial Board: members will determine the theme for each issue; recruit a wide range of highly-qualified contributors; write articles themselves when necessary; act as a referee for article submissions.
